Kampala is a city filled with character. You just need to look in the right places. I found this beautiful background for my denim on denim photo shoot at Guangzhou Restaurant in Kololo on one of my escapades.
Although I’ve never been to Guangzhou, because I know it’s the equivalent of shopping central, I imagine this depiction of high buildings, busyness, colourfulness and hustle and bustle makes a good impression of what it’s like. *Remembers to add going to Guangzhou to my to do list*
Denim on denim was a fashion no no a few years ago, but seemingly not anymore. Although I know most of you fashion forward ladies that read this blog know this, this post is for just in case you don’t.
There are a number of tricks to it:
Different shades: Opt for two different shades of denim. I chose to go for a dark pair of bottoms, because I’m bottom heavy.
Enhance your body shape: I then made the most of my body shape by wearing a long-sleeved button down shirt, which I buttoned up to the very top, and wore a collar necklace.
Colour pops: I added pops of colour in my bright blue and black heels, as well as my purse and necklace.
This can either be dressed down, or dressed up, and can in fact function for the daytime or for nighttime depending on how you choose to wear it. I’ve you’ve followed us for a while now; you know I’m a sucker for versatility.
