Shadows

Imagine me stretching and waking up out of deep sleep…I am playing around with a rhetoric, but this is quite literally what has been happening, with myself, Angela and with the blog. Shadows is an appropriate title for this blog post because as you probably know if you follow us, we’ve gone through a quiet period – the longest we ever have and for good reason.

Angela got married. It was beautiful and it was emotional. It also meant that the dynamic of how we’ve been making the blog work had to go through some changes, and we inevitably had to let the dust settle and figure out how to make things work before we got back to giving you our weekly Imigani’s. It feels good to be back here sharing our experiences through life where we can with you.

These pictures coincide so effortlessly with my state of mind, and also align with what has been going on around us. Sometimes you need to take a step back, not for anything other than the fact that life can get in the way of your doing the things you love to do. My lesson out of this longer than two month break from the blog, has been that even when you are forced to take a break (not if because like it or not we will all face moments like these) use it as a time to reflect on what you can do better (with the blog in my case) and how you can make it a better experience for the people you want to reach.

In this post I’m wearing a little black velvet dress which through its fabric naturally catches shadows. A beautiful piece of cloth in my opinion. I paired it with silver simple jewelry and silver flat shoes because the velvet fabric does a lot for the dress and there is no need to overdo it.

You can pick this look up on our shop if you’d like.

Thank you for sticking with us, and for stopping by to read our posts.

You’ll be hearing from us a lot more often now.
